The work of photographer and artist Matt Kennedy has a wide
focus - architecture and landscape, documentary and portraiture,
still life and fine art.
In his professional commissions and private pursuits,
Matt is concerned with the built environment. His commercial clients
include
architects, designers, advertising agencies and magazines. His
images feature in Houses, Australian Country Style, In Design, PHR,
Frequency
and Gardening Australia magazines.
Matt's current and recent exhibitions include:
TV -
a series of large colour photographs exploring the role of
the ubiquitous television in our homes and the wider world
North - a collection of landscape photography exhibited at
Mary Ryan's Bookstore on Park Road at Milton
Portraits in the Workplace - a collection of fifty large documentary
portraits on permanent display at the Princess Alexandra Hospital
Observations - which explored connections between people and
cinema and was held at the Squatter's Gallery in New Farm
Matt has a degree in design studies from UQ and another with honours
in Fine Arts from Rochester IT in New York. He's a member of the
Society of Advertising, Commercial and Magazine Photographers of
Australia, Queensland Artworkers Alliance and the National Trust.
